By Plane

The nearest airport to Ipoh is the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (IPH), which is located about 10km from the city center. The airport is served by several major airlines, including AirAsia, and Scoot. From the airport, you can take a taxi or a bus to get to the city center. The journey takes around 20 minutes and costs around MYR 20-25. Ipoh is well connected by train from Kuala Lumpur and other cities in Malaysia. The journey from Kuala Lumpur takes around 2-3 hours, depending on the train you take. The train station in Ipoh is a historical building and is located in the city center, making it easy to get around. You can purchase tickets at the station or online through the official website of the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB).

By Bus

There are several bus companies that operate between Ipoh and other cities in Malaysia, including express and local bus services. The journey from Kuala Lumpur takes around 2-4 hours, depending on the bus you take. Bus tickets can be purchased at the bus station or online through the official website of the bus company.

By Car

Ipoh is easily accessible by car via the North-South Expressway, Ipoh-Lumut highway and the East-West Highway (via Gerik). The distance from Kuala Lumpur is around 200km and the estimated travel time is around 2-4 hours.
